Our fourth full day of camp was a lot of fun despite the rain. There is a saying, “All sunshine, no rain, makes a desert.” This morning started with indoor calisthenics followed by breakfast. After breakfast, there were cabin devotions followed by a worship time in the Mishkan (chapel). This morning’s Yiddish moment was led by Israel Cohen, who taught several words from the “old country.” The schedule had to be adjusted due to the rain, so this morning the campers were busy learning how to share their faith and testimony, tie-dyeing their camp T-shirts, the rock climbing wall, miniature golf, and games in the gym. After lunch, the storms were pretty intense, and so was the messiness of the cabins. So, we had a cabin clean up contest with pizza as the reward for the cleanest boys’ and cleanest girls’ cabins. All of the cabins ended up very clean. After that, there was some free time where campers could go to the gym, do arts and crafts, or just relax. This evening the storms continued, so we had our worship time indoors, followed by a great message from Bobby Walter, who brought us through Acts 1:3–11 while teaching on the legacy of hope. The evening ended with the Lego 2 movie. Although the campers and the staff were worn out, everyone had a great time!
The campers are doing well memorizing their daily Bible verses. Today’s verse was Colossians 3:13:
“…bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”
Please continue to pray for us!
