During our morning devotional on Matthew 28:18–20, we contemplated the significance of Yeshua’s authority for the mission He entrusts to us, the meaning of making disciples of all nations, and the importance of Yeshua’s promise to always be with His followers. We also discussed what it looks like to teach others to obey everything Yeshua commanded.
As we readied ourselves for the Sabbath, each cabin dedicated time during morning rotations to perfect their baking skills by preparing and braiding the traditional challah bread. The inviting scent of freshly baked bread—mixed with the sweetness of chocolate chips, the warmth of cinnamon sugar, and the richness of raisins wafted through the air—enveloped the entire dining hall in a comforting embrace.
The color teams engaged in intense and exhilarating rounds of capture the flag. They eagerly joined an electrifying round of capture the flag, while the gentle raindrops heightened the thrill in the air. Both teams enthusiastically pooled their ideas, working together to devise clever strategies for the game.
During the evening Mishkan (chapel), we revisited Matthew 28:18–20 and the memory verse, Isaiah 41:10. The message highlighted the comforting themes of Isaiah 41:10, serving as a powerful reminder we are never alone as long as we walk in the path of the Lord. Additionally, several campers chose to publicly affirm their belief in Yeshua through the act of immersion (baptism). After the immersions, we closed the night with the traditional night swim.
