Friday started with calisthenics, prayer, and breakfast. After breakfast, it was off to the cabins for morning devotions. Friday morning’s verse was Matthew 6:33. So far the Bible memory continues to go well with all the kids memorizing their verses! After devotions, the campers headed to Mishkan for some outstanding worship, and a Hebrew moment brought to us by Michael Herts. Then it was off to the Zipline, Improvisation, Soccer, and Challah Making to get ready for our Shabbat dinner.
After lunch, we had a camp wide game of Capture the Flag followed by some free time to take a break from the heat. Many of the campers enjoyed the pool and the basketball courts during this time. Then it was off to get dressed up for Shabbat Dinner.
Shabbat Dinner began with Michael Herts presiding over a brief Shabbat service in the dining hall with a few of the older campers chosen to say the blessings. The challah the campers made earlier in the day was outstanding, and of course, the grape juice reminded us of the sweetness of Shabbat and being in the presence of the Lord. Then it was back to the Mishkan with some powerful, anointed worship. Scott Schwartz shared a message on Daniel Chapter 9 and he gave a clear message about the good news of Messiah. During the message, Scott gave an invitation and five campers raised their hands to accept God into their lives for the first time. That was followed by a night swim. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Pray for endurance and that we may continue to remain strong in the Lord!
