Tuesday was a lot of fun. The competition is on. The camp is divided up into two colors: “Fire” (a dark red) and “Ice” (a teal blue), and for the rest of camp the kids will be competing for points. While there are many ways to earn points, the best way to get points is to memorize Bible verses. Tuesday’s verses were Psalm 139:23-24. So far the Bible memory is going great!
Tuesday started with stretching and prayer, and then breakfast. After breakfast, the campers met with their counselors for morning devotions, then they went to off to their morning Mishkan (chapel). After a time of musical worship, activities began, including street hockey (not in the street), archery, and boating. After lunch and a time of rest, the campers broke up into their electives and then a camp-wide game of “Egg Toss” ensued. For dinner we had some traditional Jewish food, brisket and kugel (a sweet noodle dish), which turned out great. After dinner on Tuesday night, Mitch Forman shared on building your house and your faith on a firm foundation. Tuesday night ended with dodgeball.
Most importantly, the campers are growing spiritually. It is our desire that this week the campers will stay safe, have a great time, develop lifelong friendships, and most importantly, grow closer to God! Please pray daily for us as we live out and minister His Holy Word!
