Wednesday was a great day. This morning’s verses were Ephesians 4:32-5:1. So far, the kids are doing a great job on their memory verses!
Wednesday started with calisthenics and prayer, and then dinner. No, that is not a typo, it was backwards day! We had dinner, then lunch, and then breakfast as the last meal of the day. Of course, pizza was served in the morning, and cheese blintzes, a traditional Jewish crepe, in the evening. After breakfast, the campers met with their counselors for morning devotions, then it was off to morning Mishkan. After a time of worship, Israel Cohen had a Yiddish Moment where he taught us the days of the week in Yiddish. Then it was off to activities including gaga ball, arts & crafts, ultimate frisbee, and the climbing wall. After having reuben sandwiches for lunch and a time of rest, the campers broke up into their electives, and then a camp-wide game where they had to find counselors hidden throughout the camp. After Dinner, Zachariah Karp shared a message called “Life with Each Other,” emphasizing the need for the Body of Messiah to work together. The night ended with movie night where we watched Wall-E in English with Hebrew subtitles.
We are at the half-way mark for camp and the campers are doing great! They are getting used to the rules, the routine, and each other. It is our desire that this week the campers will stay safe, have a great time, develop lifelong friendships, and most importantly, grow closer to God! Please pray daily for us as we live out and minister His Holy Word!
